Never install pressure-mounted gates at the top of a staircase. A toddler leaning against a pressure gate can dislodge it. Always install a hardware-mounted gate screwed directly into newel posts or wall studs.
Never attach anti-tip furniture safety straps into hollow drywall alone; they must be anchored directly into solid wood studs with 2.5-inch lag screws.
